We are very proud to be able to offer this opportunity to view, enjoy and purchase work by our former member Lorna Rankin.
Lorna and her beautiful work was much loved by members of the Cotswold Craftsmen and visitors alike.
Her work in watercolours and acrylics, skilfully depicts the local landscape and scenery in both naturalistic and, in later works, a more abstract form.
Lorna trained and worked as a graphic designer before joining the Cotswold Craftsmen in the early 2000’s.
She became an active member of the group for many years, attending all our shows, taking on the role as Events Organizer and always exhibiting in the gallery.
She had a very calming influence on us all and was always such fun to be around. She was an avid gardener and her love of the great outdoors is very evident in her paintings.
Sadly, Lorna passed away after a short illness in 2022. We miss her very much as a friend, a member of our group and a very talented artist.
We still receive enquiries about her work so we are very happy to be able to exhibit her work and offer the opportunity to see and buy pieces of her work again. Many thanks to her sons for making this possible.
The exhibition will be in our downstairs gallery space and will begin on June 24th running until the end of July with the possibility of extending into August.
The gallery is open Wednesday – Saturday, 10am – 4pm.
